David Keith Staten

David Keith Staten, 75, of West Union, Ohio, died August 31, 2024 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman. He was born June 13, 1949 in Tiffin Township in Adams County. He was preceded by parents: Edmond Dee Staten and Hazel (Howard) Staten; two brothers: Kenneth Staten and John Dee Staten; and three sisters: Rosemary Staten Staggs, Martha Staten Hayslip and Emily Staten Brown.

David is survived by spouse, Brenda (Downs) Staten of West Union; two sons: Tim Staten and Chris Staten; one brother, Oliver (Patty) Staten; two sisters: Beulah (Staten) Ayres and Virginia (Staten) Copas; seven grandchildren: Brianna Staten, Ashley (Staten) Chapman, Caitlin Staten, Austin Staten, Sarah Staten, Abby Staten and McKenna Staten; and three great-grandchildren: Easton Redmon, Ayden Staten and Kraigen Chapman.

David was a farmer and a former employee of Cincinnati Milacron. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam Era with a rank of Lance Corporal.

The visitation is from 6 until 8 pm Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union.

The funeral is 1 pm Friday, September 6, 2024, at Lafferty Funeral Home.

The interment is at the West Union Cemetery. The Adams County Honor Guard will perform a military service.
