Stephen Virgil Parks, 76, of Peebles, Ohio, died June 13, 2024, at S.O.M.C. in Portsmouth. He was born August 27, 1947 in Monroe Township in Adams County. He was preceded by parents: Virgil Samuel Parks and Ruth Irene (Stricklett) Young; 1 sister, Nancy Parks, brother Rick Parks and Infant brother Tony, 2 close friends Mike Hamilton and Kenny Smalley.

Steve is survived by wife, Charlotte (Easterling) Parks of Peebles; 2 sons: Stephen (Andrea Parks of Peebles and Garry (Susie) Parks of Seaman; daughter, Renee (Greg) Parks of West Union; 4 grandsons: Garry Andrew Parks, Luke Parks, Austin Gaffin and Levi Taylor; 5 granddaughters: Samantha (Zac) Young, Sadie (Curtis Grooms, Lexie Hanes, Tabitha Taylor and Brandi Taylor; 2 sisters: Connie Wills of Tennessee and Brenda Beville of Kentucky; 3 great-granddaughters: Charlee, Tomi and Lenny, and one great-grandson, Carmen.

Steve was employed at Bell Foundry in Hillsboro; drove a Semi-truck for Vinyl Max Windows and was a custodian for Adams County Schools. He loved motorcycles and old cars. He liked Elvis and Rock & Roll.

The visitation is Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 6 - 9 pm at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union.

The funeral is Friday, June 21, 2024 at 2 pm at Moores Chapel Church in Blue Creek. Reverend Tammy Stone will officiate. The interment is at Moores Chapel Cemetery in Blue Creek.
